Selfish people think that the world revolves around their needs, their purposes, their abilities and when the facts don't follow the fantasy within it opens them up to all manner of reactions none of which is good. Certain people who believe in Evolution will say that selfishness is a BASE GENE that makes it possible for evolutions "Survival of the Fittest" to succeed, allowing those who are the best at survival to live and propagate the species on the earth. (See below)
Selfishness disregards and retards YOUR innermost desire to help others unless it benefits you first and superimposes "a self preservation" that is unnatural and overdone.
When you display selfish behavior you are showing the pride of life in you. If you display selfish behavior with God or your neighbor, God will not put up with you for very long.

This is why I connect Witchcraft to Selfishness because they produce similar results despite great intentions! Church people are in great danger of this since we have in the past taught self defeating dogmas as a natural course of teaching, the Charismatic overindulgence's with "emotional worship" and strange outward reactions to the Spirit's presence has created a form of Witchcraft, a spell of emotional craft that if others don't see you doing the same "Your in Rebellion to God" when the true rebellion is being grown in them.
The one thing we seem to miss in Worship is BALANCE, God never OVER DOES IT he is perfectly balanced and has perfect instructions concerning Life and Worship. Be careful here though, being Charismatic is not cultism or even wrong, no more than being Baptist is, BOTH can fall into this sin of selfishness. OVER doing anything becomes a selfish thing in the end and leads to Witchcraft's from the minor to the Major .
that Witchcraft has is the exact same thing that selfishness produces, this influence is AGAINST human nature to be FREE from outside influences that want to control our lives. We self violate our own desires for freedom whenever we allow anything to control us including a selfish motive. They set out to show that activation of the area of the brain known as the dorsolateral prefrontal cortex (DLPFC) triggers self-control.
The scientists used repetitive transcranial magnetic stimulation on subjects, in which a weak magnetic field was used to temporarily disable the DLPFC.
Then they took part in a bargaining game in which two individuals had to agree on the division of a given amount of money.
One person proposed an offer and the other could either accept or reject it — but rejection meant that neither got any money.
The researchers found that suppressing the right side of the DLPFC made the volunteers more likely to accept unfair offers instead of rejecting them in order to punish the "proposer" for not sharing more equally.
Subjects who had the right DLPFC turned off were far less able to keep their selfish impulses under control, though they still knew what was fair and what was not.
"Our study suggests that right, but not left, DLPFC is involved in overriding selfish impulses while it does not affect subjects' fairness judgements," said Prof Ernst Fehr, an economist.
The insight into the brain circuits that regulate selfish impulses is published today by Prof Fehr and the neuroscientist Prof Daria Knoch, of Zurich University, with Prof Alvaro Pascual-Leone, of Harvard.
Prof Knoch dismissed fears about the unethical use of the method, saying that the effect was of only short duration and required the permission of the person undergoing the stimulation.
Earlier studies using a brain scanner method had suggested that self-control depended on the DLPFC, which is among the last brain areas to mature.
